Going A Bit Calvin

I woke up this morning, looked out of the window and then spent ten minutes running around the house yelling “Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow!”

I swear I’m Calvin. All I need is a Hobbes.

And I’d TOTALLY do this, too:

Love it, love it, love it. Calvin and Hobbes high up on the list of Best. Thing. Ever. It’s a magical world out there……
Took my 19 month old daughter on a sledge for the first time today and then home for hot milk! Winters were made for this!

Much as I like Calvin & Hobbes, I suspect that personally I’m more Garfield, with a strong touch of Dilbert. Though I did have a C&H cartoon up at work for years in which Calvin pointed out that the problem with the universe was that there was no entrance charge to keep out all the riffraff…..

  3. Sigh…. Jasmijn turns four this month, and so far we never had the kind of snow that would enable us to go sledding with her. Curse you, global warming!!!

The downside of having snow is that the chance of being attacked by Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons has risen consederable. Better be carefull…!

Strangely enough, mostly identify with Calvin’s dad. Life is too fast and hectic nowadays…

Aw, sledging and hot milk! That sounds lovely!

I was a Garfield girl once, but then I met Spaceman Spiff and my world was never the same again. I’ve always wanted to read Hamster Huey and the Gooey Kablooie, too…

And hey, Ruud, your Christmas card has Jasmijn in the snow! Were you too busy taking pics to go sledging? Noooo!

…oh, and one last word: Rosebud.

Hamster Huey and the Gooey Kablooie… I do wonder about that. It sounds too much like a posting entitled ‘Hamster Juice’ I read on the now defunct ‘Everything is Electric’ blog. You really, really don’t want to know….
